Campus continues to be closed

With campus meaning to re-open today but seeming to be shut down for the next couple days, we have decided to keep our heads down and continue working from home. With constant efforts going into improving our hard copy maps, 3D model, keeping this (totally awesome) blog up to date, working on our web-mapping application as well as ensuring our paperwork stays in order, we are confident we will stay on top of things no matter what.

A tremendous lesson that we have learnt thus far is that " 'n Boer maak 'n plan...". With very limited access to resources such as much needed software, hardware as well as the extremely important resource of face-to-face interactions with fellow group members and supervisors, we have learnt that "Where there's a will, there's a way". We have been working extremely hard to ensure networking remains strong within the group via Whatsapp groups, emails as well as Dropbox accounts. We have also kept strong links going with our GMT320 supervisor so as to ensure we remain on the right path with the outputs we are creating. Keeping in close contact and acquiring constant feedback from the supervisor is of great importance because it helps to keep you on the straight and narrow. With such a limited time budget, there really is no time to waste on unnecessary work or mistakes.
