The next step in the paperwork department is creating our project charter. With a clear and concise project idea in mind, creating the charter wasn't too much of a struggle. One lesson we have learnt on the paperwork side is this:

*Allow for only 1 or 2 people to do the write up. This ensures that a single train of thought is started and followed up until the end. One writing style is then also incorporated which results in a much more professional outcome.

By writing the project charter, we as a group, were forced to critically analyse every stakeholder as well as the expectations ad requirements which each stakeholder has. This helped us create a more defined idea of how each stakeholder will interact within the project and what they will bring to the table/expect us to have as an outcome for them.

Our advice thus far would be this:

*Take the paperwork seriously. This paperwork lays the foundation for your project idea. If your write-ups are clean and concise, you can refer back to them at a later stage when you get confused as to what your final goal actually is. It is easy to get confused when your idea is always evolving (as it will) so trust us, keep your paperwork on point.
